30-year fixed rate at 5.93%; 10-year Treasury yield at 4.27%
According to Bankrate.com, long-term mortgage interest rates continued to decrease last Tuesday. The benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield rose to 4.27 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average dipped to 5.93 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate slipped to 5.52 percent. The 1-year adjustable was down at 5.52 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield gained to 4.62 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com’s above figures are based on the nightly averages on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 319.54 points, or 2.46 percent, closing at 13,307.09. The Nasdaq went up 89.52 points, or 3.46 percent, concluding at 2,673.65.
